How Embarrassing!

10/30 : Most Embarrassing Moment

This one was pretty easy...

Last year Josh and I were invited to go up to Island Lake in Idaho with my Uncle Rene and his family. (I blogged about it here.) This is an annual thing for them and they have a blast so we were pretty stoked. Not only were the Olivas' there but My Aunt Tricie, her whole family and my Grandparents!

It had been years since I'd done any fun lake activities like tubing, wake boarding and riding jet skis. So I was pretty excited! Our first day on the lake everyone was eager for their turn on the tube! After a few people went, my cousin Alicia (Leesh) and I hopped on ready to ride! Now, I don't know why but I always seem to get a little nervous about these kind of things.. (like the banana boat incident..). We were screaming, laughing, our entire bodies were bouncing off the tube. Having SO much fun! We'd been riding for a while now around the lake and my arms were starting to burn from holding myself on... when all of a sudden... we took a sharp turn and I couldn't hold on any longer! I FLEW off the tube face first into the water! When my face reached the surface I immediately noticed my swimsuit bottoms dangling around my ankles! They came around on the jet ski to get me and the first thing I hear is Leesh laughing hysterically! I pulled up my bottoms and yelled "DID YOU SEE MY BUTT!?"

Yes... yes she did.... memories made for sure.

Oh how I've been slacking..

Remember the 30 day blog thing? Yeah I've been slacking...

9/30 : People who have influenced you
(I'm suppose to write about 10 people...)

- My parents obviously. They have been the best examples, not only to me but the rest of the family. You can read more about their awesome selves on this post

- My in-laws, Ronelle & Phil. These two are super motivated and super loving. In the short time that I have known them I have grown to love them and look up to them like they are my own parents!

- Lissa. She's my younger sister but she's the one person I look up to! She's the most honest, friendly, funny, lovable, spiritual person I know! I could go on and on about how amazing she is! She's been by best friend since birth and I love her to death!

There really are a lot more people who have influenced my life. But for the sake of finally getting this post finished and on to the next one, I'm settling with 3 people.

In other news tomorrow is the FOURTH OF JULY!! Josh and I requested this day off months ago in hopes that we would actually plan to do something fun... aaaand we didn't. We are going to the balloon launch and parade in Provo tomorrow morning. But the rest of the day.... no plans.

Here is a little festive patriotic poster I designed today.

Bridal Shower Fun

So incase you were wondering... Neither Josh or myself got the graphic design job. :( Sad day. We were disappointed but ok with it. This just means we get to keep trying and keep applying. So if you hear or know of anyone needing a graphic designer hit us up!!

In other news I've been busy planning a bridal shower for my sister-in-law Jasmine! Its been crazy hectic with deciding on food, decor, etc...

But over all it turned out pretty cute if you ask me!

This was a cute game (that would have been even cuter if more people showed up). I had each girl write down a memory, or favorite moment with Jasmine. Then I read them aloud and had Jasmine guess who wrote it. It made for fun conversation starters and listening to Jasmine and her friends reminiscing on "old times".

I'm satisfied with the way it all turned out but glad its over. Next big event on the way would obviously be Jasmine's endowment session, sealing and reception!! More wedding fun!! I'm super excited for Jasmine and Danny!! Don't they make the cutest couple!!?

Changes

So since we got back from Florida we've been crazy busy! I've got this mental list of all these things we have to get done. And feel like we have SO little time!

Wedding stuff, planning to possibly move, work, bridal showers! All need to be done in a month, all at the same time!

Then we found out about a graphic design job from my sis-in-law and decided we needed to apply for it as soon as possible! So we put everything on hold for a week. We've been so focused on getting josh a job that I haven't touched my portfolio in forever!! I've been stressing about getting everything perfect and all online in a week while working everyday! But I did it!!

The marketing company we'd be working for (if we get the job) is in Holladay Utah, So this means we'd be moving to Murray area. Which would be an awesome change!

It's sort of crazy to think about how quickly everything could change! If this all works out we'd be in a completely new town, new ward, new apartment and NEW JOBS!!

We have interviews on Wednesday!! WISH US LUCK!!

Check out our blogs if you feel like it...

Florida Fun

It's been a while since I've posted. My bad... We've been super busy!!

Josh and I got back from Florida a week ago! It's already been a week?! I'm already ready to go back!! I could write a novel about how awesome our trip was and all the awesome things we did. Instead I'll just share some of my favorites!

- Spending most of our time at the beach! I really cant get over how beautiful it is there. The water, the sand.. EVERYTHING! I could spend all day there!

- Spending much needed quality time with my family! Goodness I've missed them so much! And I didn't really realize it till we're all together.

- Chelsea's graduation!!! I'm so glad we got to be there for this! It seriously feels like I was just doing this. Then I think that was 6 years ago and then I feel really old. It is so weird to think she'll be out on her own and in college soon! That makes me feel kinda sad that we're all growing up!

- Spending all day at Holmes Creek with the fam. Which was SO much fun! Funny memories made for sure! Plus it was SO pretty up there!

- Emilee's 5th grade graduation! I'm pretty sure the last time I was at Beach Elementary was when Em was graduating KINDERGARDEN! WHAT!!  I can't believe she's gonna be in Middle School! Actually I kinda can, I mean look how freakin tall she is!

- Jessica & Lauren time!! Man I love these guys!! I couldn't ask for better best friends! I'd say the highlight of Jessica's birthday was riding the death banana boat. The water was SO choppy and I was SO scared...no, terrified I was gonna fly off and die! (and by die I mean face plant into the ocean and swallow gallons of salt water). Seriously though, I was holding on for dear life and may or may not have screamed the entire time...

- Going to Seaside with Josh. I love this place and have wanted to take Josh there forever! We didn't spend as much time as I would have liked because it was SO dang hot! But we had a good time anyway.

- Dinner, photoshoot on the beach and dueling piano bar with Jessica, Lauren and Josh. Which consisted of all three of us (Jessica, Lauren and I) dancing to the Time Warp in front of a bunch strangers. Which makes me miss hanging out with them SO MUCH! We have fun!

- Family dinners. Probably my favorite thing about coming home! I love how after everyone is finished eating we all just hang around the dinner table and talk about whatever forever!

Now that we're back in Utah we've got a lot going on in the next few weeks! Sis-in-laws wedding, bridal shower, working full time, possibly moving? and possibly new jobs for Josh and I? (More on that later).

Passions

8/30 : What are 5 passions you have?

1. Family.
I'm pretty much obsessed with these people. They are my favorite! And it is so comforting to know I'll be with them forever! And not just my immediate family, my in-law family is pretty awesome as well. I love how they have just taken me in as one of their own, especially since my fam is so far away!

2. Joshua.
Technically he should be included in "family" but he is so much more than my family. Words cannot describe how much I love this guy. Sometimes I just look at him while he's doing something and think "How did I get so lucky?"

3. Music.
It just makes the day better.

4. Pictures.
I use to take way more pictures than I do now. Lately I just snap a pic with my phone and call it good. They make such good memories. I love looking at pictures from years ago and reliving special times in my life.

5. The Gospel.
Learning it. Living it. It brings so much joy to my life.

Hello Sunshine!

The past few days Utah has decided to catch up with how the weather should be in spring! Which makes me want to get out and enjoy the sunshine! This past weekend I had a few opportunities to do so!

Friday I had an early shift and was off by 2! Josh and I rode our new bikes to get some ice cream, then rode around the neighborhood for a bit. When we got home we laid out a blanket and chilled on our mini front yard under our cute little pink tree! Riding our bikes made me feel like a kid again! And laying out in the sun just made me more excited for our upcoming trip to Florida!!

Then on Saturday I had to work all day. BUT I got to work outside all day! Which was SO much fun! It was a good change. No one needing me for every little stupid thing! Plus I got a little sun! It may have been a nasty farmers tan but it feels good to have a little color on my arms and face! Which, again, makes me so freakin excited for FLORIDA!!

With all this warm weather and constantly thinking about going to FL. I've realized, I have absolutely NO real summer clothes :(!! I've got my eye on a few things though, that I MUST buy before I leave! Mostly skirts.. I have a feeling skirts are going to become my best friend this summer :)!

And I'm pretty sure the next few days (my next two days off) It's suppose to rain! Of course!
