This beautiful sister of mine! 

She has always been such a good example to me! Her strong testimony of the Church. How hard she works for everything, soccer, school... She is loving and thoughtful. The most best friend anyone could ask for (literally, she is the definition of a "BEST" friend). There are so many more positive things I could say about Lissa, She makes me want to be a better person and a good example to not only her but the rest of my siblings! I LOVE YOU sister! I'm so grateful for you! Thanks for being so awesome!

Hiking the Y

Last night I had planned on going for a run while Josh was at work and he suggested I hike the Y. It was such a nice evening I decided I would.

Now I've lived here for almost 3 years and I've done this probably 2 1/2 times? And every time while I'm hiking my life away I quickly remember how out of shape I am and how much I CANNOT breathe while getting higher and higher up a mountain. BUT of course I don't think of that. So I grabbed my head phones and water and made my way up. After about 5 mins of walking... my legs started to burn and I couldn't breathe. I wanted so bad to make it to the top though (just so I could take some cool pictures for instagram :D).

Here is how the rest of the hike went...
hike...stop...GASP for air...hike.... chug some water.... stop... GAAAASP... hike.... forget to breathe... stop.. and so on...

I'm glad I was alone, if Josh were with me I'd feel bad for slowing him down!

I didn't even make it to the TOP of the Y. I cheated and cut to the very bottom. Whatever, good enough for me. And yes, it took me 46 mins... Don't judge. (p.s. I LOVE this new app of mine "MapMyRun" it even spoke to me when I reached a mile mark!)

kickin it on the Y. I was gonna just chill up there listen to music and enjoy the view for a while, My Fun Pandora station was bustin out awesome songs to hike to! But those dumb mosquitos were attacking me! I forget how much the love to feast on me! This is also my picture of the the day, May 3 and 4 -Something You Wore and -Fun.

Coming down, starting to get dark. The lights were so pretty! From now on when I go I'm going at night! 

As much as I wanted to die the whole time, I'm glad I went! And I'm hoping to make this a weekly thing. There is something about being out on a beautiful mountain at night enjoying God's amazing creations. Forgetting about the world for an hour and thinking about other things! 

Eventually I'll be able to hike this baby no problem! One day...

There is this photo a day challenge that I've been doing since February on instagram and totally failed the end of April! Oops. So I'm trying again this month.

FUN.

I realized I forgot to mention how awesomely amazing the Fun show was a few weekends ago. Racheal and I went up to Salt Lake to see them (Josh was gonna go with me but it happened to be the same weekend of General Conference).

Don't know who Fun is? Shame, Shame... They are pretty much the best band ever! We Are Young is their newest song, I'm pretty sure its on the radio these days.  I personally  like their first album Aim and Ignite better, but the new one is very good as well! Nate Ruess is simply brilliant! He puts on such an entertaining show! SO much fun to watch, I just love his voice and face so much! Don't judge me, I know he isn't the hottest guy around but something about him...mmm :D. If you don't know who The Format is either LOOK THEM UP!!! Nate was the lead singer for them. So great!

Zoo!

So far its been a good week. Lissa is here!!! We went and saw The Hunger games Saturday (I haven't read the books... had planned on it but never got around to actually doing it) So I only thought it was ok. (I was falling asleep) Sunday I was so sad cause I had to work! BOO! Easter is probably my favorite holiday and I had to spend it at Lowe's :( and I didn't even get an easter basket!  When I got home though Lissa and I (well just me) made dinner and watched Stardust with Josh (this time we all fell asleep)

Yesterday was such a good day! We went to the ZOO!! and it was SO nice outside! The only lame thing was that there were a crap load of little kids running around! Don't get me wrong, I love kids but 8098239485 of them running around at the same time?! NO thanks! The same thing happened when Josh and I went to the Planetarium a few weeks ago. Kids EVERYWHEREEEE!!!! UH!

It was still a pretty fun day!

And as a bonus, JUST for Lissa we made a visit to East High School in Salt Lake. (Where they shot High School Musical) She was like a kid in a candy store! I will admit it was pretty cool seeing and recognizing spots from the movie.
